On the G-325A (Biographic Information form), what should my SO put for city & country of birth. The birth certificate lists the province, but that province has since split into 2 with 2 new names. Should she use what is on the certificate or the new name? Actually she was born in Nha Trang, which is listed as the "Quan" on her certificate not the city. Should she put that? Anyone else born in Nha Trang that has had experience with that?

Also, does the G-325A need to be an original signature or can that form be e-mailed over to me. She already sent everything but left a gap in her employment history without explaining it.

Also does anyone know what we are supposed to do if we run out of spaces for the employment history? And I assume the 'last occupation abroad' question refers to abroad from the US, not abroad from her home country?

Finally, I think, on the main form where it asks for details of how we met, do they want to know how we were introduced or about the time when we actually met in person? How detailed should we be on this question?

Oh no, I do have another question, not VN specific, but on the main application it wants the "date of issue" on my birth certificate. I recently ordered a copy of it since I had lost it. Do I use the date of issue of the certified copy or the original date when it was signed back when I was a baby?

Put the original name, since it's asking for city and country of birth. I was born on a military base in the US that doesn't exist anymore, but if asked where I was born the correct answer is that military base, and that's what my birth certificate says.

Also, does the G-325A need to be an original signature or can that form be e-mailed over to me. She already sent everything but left a gap in her employment history without explaining it.

Gary will swear that a photocopy or scanned image is ok because that's what his buddy at VSC says, but I've seen people get an RFE for this. I'd send a copy with an original signature rather than risk the RFE. If she's signed the form then you can go ahead and revise it yourself. You don't need her to sign a new form.

Also does anyone know what we are supposed to do if we run out of spaces for the employment history? And I assume the 'last occupation abroad' question refers to abroad from the US, not abroad from her home country?

Write "see attachment" on the last line, and then use a continuation sheet. Write a description of the form at the top of the sheet (e.g., "G-325A, Beneficiary"), and describe which sections of the form are being continued.

Finally, I think, on the main form where it asks for details of how we met, do they want to know how we were introduced or about the time when we actually met in person? How detailed should we be on this question?

They want a description of the meeting that qualifies for the two year meeting requirement. They don't want your relationship history. Save this for the timeline.

Nothing you've asked so far is VN specific...

That box is ONLY for the certificate number, date, and place of issuance of a certificate of naturalization; i.e., if you checked the "Naturalization" box. If you were born in the US then don't write anything in that box.

Ok, you have a point of nothing being VN specific, but after many months of reading posts in here, you feel like you know people and I didn't want to ask the strangers in the general forum :)

Based on what you've told me there will be lots of revisions, so I will just get her to send the form again. Just to clarify: Is there a form called a Continuation Form or is this something we type on a blank sheet of paper?

No form for the Continuation info. Just use blank sheets. Be sure to label the sheets and information appropriately.

It's on the I-129F. A prerequisite to filing a fiancee visa petition is that the petitioner and beneficiary must have visited each other face-to-face at some point within the past two years. Under rare circumstances you can get a waiver of that requirement. The form requires that you describe that meeting, and provide proof that it actually happened (boarding passes, hotel receipts, photos, etc.). The intention of this requirement is to prevent someone from meeting a foreigner on the internet (for example) and then filing a fiancee visa petition for them without ever having actually physically met them.

The I-130 is different because it's practically impossible to produce a valid marriage certificate for two people who have never physically met each other.
