When one suggests that "there must be a better American brand" it suggests that the one in question IS an American brand which is inferior to another American brand, and exposes one's ignorance on any issue related to firearms.

Had you simply said "there must be AN American brand..." it could be plausible you know something about firearms...or the English language.
