I can't imagine having to drive 45 minutes to go shopping. I'd probably have to drown myself in a (really big) bowl of Cheerios.

It's not 45 minutes to go shopping, just to go shopping at Target. They have Walmart and other big box stores.

I cant stand Walmart even without their dubious business practices, the stores are simply horrible and full of junk.

I don't much care for Cheerios either...

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Our Walmarts(we have lots of those haha) are kept in pretty good shape. They remodeled and put in nice flooring not long ago. I have been in Walmart in Tampa and more dense areas that look more like they've been trashed inside. Ours are nice. I would prefer not to go to Walmart because it's always busy and people block the aisles, especially old people here, but I still like my deals. It's not as if they are the only ones importing stuff from China. Target does it too.

Walmarts look trashed in more denser areas because they never have enough staff to keep the place looking nice and inviting. We have a Target and a Walmart about 1/2 mile from each other and the Target always looks nice but the Walmart is where all the hoodrats hang out.

I wasn't talking about the decor ;)

Of course they are not the only ones to import chinese goods and not all chinese goods are ####### - Walmart however specializes in ####### and the stores are very large and irritating but there isn't any more variety of products than in smaller stores. I'm not that keen on Target either but I do go there for loo paper once every three months or so.

loo paper

Well even I would wish to buy all organic, all local, all handmade products for my life. I cannot afford that. A lot of people can't. I happen to think Walmart is partly a scape goat for junk and china imports, meanwhile it seems all major chain stores do the same exact thing yet charge you more for it.

I got an ice cream scoop from Walmart about a year ago. Last week, I noticed my vanilla ice cream had this brownish liquid when I was scooping it out. I washed the scoop, then dried it out with a paper towel and the towel turned brown. That's when I realized the freakin scoop was where it's coming from. I trashed it and threw out some perfectly (otherwise) fine ice cream.

There are not 'hoodrats' where I live so the Walmart isn't even full of people like that either. Mind you, I do pop into Big Lots from time to time for school supplies which is a pretty crummy store but my excuse is that it's in walking distance.

Well, ew. Did it rust? Was your scoop "walmart brand" or a brand they also sell other places??

The towns around here without any hoodrats at all don't even let Walmart in. The very existence of a Walmart generally means there are hoodrats in the vicinity, lock your doors and close your windows and hide your children!

I looked on it for a brand name, didn't find anything. All I remember is I got it at WM.

First part, that's just wrong. :P Not like that here.

Second part, ok then Walmart tried poisoning you and I hope you are going to pursue a lawsuit. If you get a million, I would like 10% for suggesting the lawsuit.
