You can apply for citizenship after you've been married and living in the USA for three years.

You should read the instructions on the USCIS website to see what's needed.

If you are applying based on marriage then you can apply 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of your green card otherwise it is 90 days prior to 5th year anniversary.

I got my green card 3/12/2008

The eligibility clock starts ticking with the validity date of your green card, whether you are married or not.

If you stay married to the same USC, you are eligible for marriage-based citizenship on 3/12/2011. You may apply for citizenship (i.e. sent in form N400 and all supporting materials) 90 days before that date.

You are eligible for resident-based citizenship on 3/12/2013 whether you are married or not. You may apply for citizenship 90 days before that date.
