OK, so we have ruled out internet service as the reason that Canadians come to Vermont to park at the hospital. What IS the reason?

Perhaps you are laughing at the fact that they focus on the 81% of the world's GDP that is not in the US. This strategy seems to have served them well so far, sure as hell helped them avoid the private sector induced US recession.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

####, that is not too shabby at all.

Considering roughly 1.2% of American homes have FIOS, that is not the norm. You think the hundreds of million of Americans who live in the sticks have access to that speed or network? Many don't even have cable..

probably correct on that those of us in the sticks don't have access to that speed (although it's not in the hundreds of millions). it's cost prohibitive for anyone to run fiber out to where i'm at, so we're on satellite internet.

hughesnet sucks! :ranting:

The US strategy has served us fairly well too. Where would you rather live, here or China? If you went to China and told them how much their country sucked you'd be publicly executed.

Perhaps.

Is that why Canadians park at hospitals in Vermont?

Yes, true BUT you could do it on the internet...oh, wait, never mind. OK, but you could buy an Australian car and THEN get executed. Now THAT is to die for!

Maybe when China builds a bridge from Canada to Australia, they will go to Aussie hospitals.

That's a brilliant idea! Are you Australian?

  I wonder what will be faster, the Chinese train or the Australian internet? Maybe the US will invent an internet train to claim the lead.

I ran a speedtest from my Fios in Irving, TX a few weeks ago and got these results:

Pretty good considering I was getting about 500k up and 1.5 down on Time Warner. I pay about $10 a month more with Verizon than I did with Time Warner and get much better internet speeds and more HD channels.

Once again, you deliberately ignore that 93% of the country will be receiving speeds between 100Mbits to 1Gbit/s per second, versus your one town in TN.

PS Australia is currently working on the feasibility of a similar high-speed train between their cities. Looks like they will buy this technology from China. After all, two years later and they are still waiting for Boeing to deliver their order of 50 787s. I believe all of the US airlines combined, have placed orders for about 20.

Not bad at all.

And you deliberately ignore than 93.86% of Canadians have to come to Vermont to get a flu shot.

How fast is the internet in Australia right now? By the time your done building that system it will be slow and outdated like the current system. That's all you have to argue, feasibility, and we're gonna do this and gonna do that.

Holy####. What are you paying for 50/20?
