Me and my wife filed our I-130 in Halifax September 23 2010. We were told that we would hear from Montreal with the next step of the process within 2 weeks. its been a month. Do they seriously take 2 weeks or should we expect to wait longer to hear back from Montreal. Also on a side note, because of apartment issues we are living with my parents for the future until i get my visa. We are still in the same province just a different town. We have the new tenants of our apartment forwarding our mail to my parents. However should i be trying to change address with the consulate now or wait until we hear back? Should i even try changing it or continue having the mail forwarded.

When I filed our 130 in Calgary they gave us a paper saying it should be 6 weeks before we hear from MTL with our P3 but it took them ELEVEN weeks to send it back to us.

The paper they gave us said it should be 2-3 weeks to hear from them. Not worried as when dealing with stuff like this its best not to expect thing when they tell you they should, just wanted to know what others experiences said about it.
