Go to your local U.S. Post Office and request your passport. They will take your picture right then and there. You should receive your passport in 2-4 weeks.

Go to the corner of Fairfax and Imperial in L.A. once it gets dark Ask for Bubba. Bring $2,500 cash in $20 bills and a passport photo. If Bubba likes you, you'll have your US passport a few days later. Advantage: you don't have to be a US citizen.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

From personal experience the postal office takes to long and where i leave is by appt which i think is funny. A friend refered me to the county's clerk and they did it for the same price and I walked in..As far how fast you can get it as fast as you want you have to pay extra..Good Luck.

** moved from "K1 Process & Procedures" to General Immigration Related Discussion as this isn't a question about the K1 process specifically, more a general Immigration question **

The fastest way to get your passport are neither of the above but you could pay for expedited shipping. If you need your passport in less than 2 weeks, you will need to go to one of the USCIS offices that you can apply and recieve the same day. Dallas,Atlanta, Detroit and Colorado are some of them.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo, the USCIS does NOT issue passports... Passports are issued by one of the Department of State passport issuing agencies... There are thousands of passport application acceptance agencies all across the country... A simple search in my area gave me a dozen choices withing a 10 mile radius.

Dept. Of State is correct but I was reading the info from USCIS website. What I said holds true. There are thousands of places to submit your application but if you need it in 2 weeks or less, you can get it same day at one of the locations I listed. No where else will provide this service.
