Hi Guys, need a little help here. My wife is scheduled for IV interview in Islamabad Pakistan on Nov 19.It looks like that it is going to be Eid al Adha in Pakistan on this day.Eid al Adha is a religious holiday which depends upon the new moon. The new moon can change the Islamic Calendar. It is a three day event. The embassy scheduled holidays on Nov. 16,17 and 18 for this event at the beginning of the year. What is the Embassy going to do here? If the Eid is on 18, will the observe the holidays on 18,19 and 20 and reschedule and work on the 16 and 17 and schedule my wife on 16 or 17? OR what will they do if the Eid day falls on 19? Will they take off 19,20 and 21 ( 20 and 21 are Sat and Sunday)?

review the embassy's 'calendar of holidays' on the embassy website,

and

let us know what you find out.

Good Luck !

(if you don't know the US Embassy/Pakistan/Islamabad's website URL, let us know?)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If it was scheduled on one of the local holidays .. the embassy will be closed.. so then I'd email the embassy with all the information and inform them of this.. and they would do the fix for nvc

ah - sorry - i was a bit braindead last night.

regardless of 'what is posted' online

trust me - the Embassy IV unit WILL NOT SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW for a date that the Embassy is closed.

My apologies for my confusion, though.
