Hello everyone,

We are almost ready to send in the paperwork for AOS and EAD (we have decided not to do AP) and we have a few questions/clarifications so we can complete the package ...

1) Do we paperclip the check for $395.00 to the I-485 (AOS) and paperclip the check for $180.00 to the I-175 (EAD). Basically what we are asking is do we seperate the checks instead of putting both of them at the front of the package ??

2) Do I need (4) passport style photos ?? (2) for the I-485 and (2) for the I-765 ... I kinda thought that I read this on the forms but I want to make sure ... And once again, if I need 2 for each form do we paperclip them in a pastic bag to each of their respective forms ??

3) In the VJ guides is recommends making a cover letter and it says to sign and date the cover sheet ... Who is actually applying and signing for this ?? me the non US Citizen or my Wife the US Citizen ??

4) We also want to make sure that we have the right understanding that we don't need to add another $70.00 for biometrics for the EAD as we are adding that to the I-485 check ...

5) for the I-864 we are getting an updated letter from my wife's employer similiar to the one that we used for the initial form to get the K-1 (stating when she started, what her title is and what her yearly salary is) ... She recently got a very big promotion (went from hourly to salary with a nice raise) so we only have one pay stub with her new rate (it also shows her year to date earnings as well on it) ... Will this one pay stub be ample ?? We are also supplying the last 3 years of tax returns and she by far exceeds the 125% of poverty for our household ...

I think this is all the things I have in my head right now ...

Thank you to anyone who responds ... I will be so happy when we get this mailed out ...

1. Write seperate checks! It makes it so much easier to keep track of them. Paper clip them to the front of each packet.

2. We put the pics in baggies and stapled the baggies to the paper. I think its 2 for each.

3. You don't really need a cover letter. We didn't send one. It's a personal choice.

4. True. You can add the two ammounts together.

5. I am in the same situation here, so I am hoping it's enough. But I am sure in your situation it'll be enough. You can also send the last six months and that one new paystub. (I wish I had waited one week before I sent mine, then I would've had one pay stub with my raise on it.)

Good luck!

Agreed.....

If you do a cover letter it should be signed by the non-USC....

Kezzie

So I being the non-USC is the one applying for AOS correct ??

and does the I-864 need to be notorized like the other form that we had to fill out when we applied with the initial I-129F ??

We got our I-864 notarized. We did a coverletter , this might help with a RFE so that they can look at it and see what is vcontained. We list the AOS and the documents and then the EAD and the documents for that. We also just sent 1 $70 biometric fee. We Paper clipped both checks to front of the package just so it wouldn't get lost and on the coverletter in BOLD wrote one check for AOS $375 and one for EAD $180 ?

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

Nov. 17/09 -- I-751 sent (Day 1)
