I did a successful walk-in at San Jose, CA yesterday. The security guard said a wait might be 1-2 hours... I was in and out in 15 minutes!

Sweet, congratz, did they question you as to why you want it done earlier? I'm going to try tom.

I just said we had a free day and wanted to get it done. The guard was a little strict and told me they only prioritize people who have real reasons for doing it early, like leaving the country - but there were only one or two people in the waiting room so he let me in. He was a very nice guy.

Hoping that will be the case for us as well should the biometics appt. be at the same time as my husband´s college classes. They are really strict about being to class on time and have tests first thing. Just wait and see for now and hope for the best.

St Paul Minnesota Walk Ins did not work. (they were under staffed) was also the holiday times. They were nice and professional.

Sorry it didn't work for you. Glad they were nice about it though. We've never had problems with rudeness either at that office.

I think the trick for St. Paul is to go when it's not busy (mid-week, early morning, non holiday). If there aren't people waiting they are usually accommodating.

We had went on a thursday morning but right before christmas. I just happen to have th day off so we tried but we'll just wait for our appointment on the 3rd next month. I took us over a month to even get the biometrics letter/appointment I guess they are just backed up right now and under staffed no biggie. We waited a long time to be together so another week won't hurt us. ;)

That's a good attitude to have :) It's a bummer to hear they're backed up we just sent off Naturalization paperwork. Guess I won't be holding my breath for our biometrics letter.

Enjoy the time with your hubby!
