US Constitution Article III Section 3 Defines treason against the United States.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. Just amazes me that this is news to anyone. In a FREE country the ability to overthrow the government by force is ALWAYS "on the table" We will lose our freedom ONLY when that is taken OFF the table. It is ludicrous to suggest, in a country founded on the forcible overthrow of an oppressive government, that saying it is a possibility is un-patriotic.

One ignores the fact that in a representative Republic, GRIDLOCK should be the normal situation. Our government was not designed or intended to DO anything such that they try to do. This is why government health care, for esample, will not work here. It does not matter if it works somewhere else, it CANNOT work here witout basic changes to our form of government which we are unwilling to do.

You are talking as though posters here are representatives of the Democratic party; they are not. People who do not support Tea Party ideals are not necessarily members of the Democratic party, nor is it safe to assume that they all vote Democrat in every election. The success or failure of the Democratic party has nothing to do with any poster here, no matter how 'left wing' you consider their views are (and consider this, if you truly are a libertarian as you claim, your economic ideal is ultra laissez faire IE LIBERAL so you should at least support the 'loony left' on economics even while it's quite obvious you support protectionist policies) so no poster is personally responsible in this way at all. Any poster can and indeed should criticize any politician they feel deserves criticism whether on the left, right on in the center; this is a legitimate and proper part of the democratic process. The only thing that is illegitimate is the support of those who would threaten properly elected politicians simply because they personally 'don't like' individual policies that incidentally formed the basis of the electoral platform. That is fundamentally treasonous; your misunderstanding of your own constitutional rights and protections notwithstanding.

I don't think much of someone who champions idiots simply on the strength of their not being members of the Democratic party; that seems the ultimate in stupidity to me. Better by far to actually do some research and see who might be the best fit, regardless of what party they adhere to; but presumably that's a little too difficult for you.
