Oh dear :( My husband is in the USAF too and he's supporting 3 kids from his previous marriage. But his daughters are living with the ex-wife. Are they still counted in the number of household? If so, what is the limit for us then? I'm worried now.

Yes, those children are counted as household members for the purpose of the affidavit of support.

Yes I already found out that they are included. If we are going to calculate only his basic pay minus the deductions, he's a bit short for a household of 5. So I'm going to ask my brother who's a LPR in Illinois if he could be our joint sponsor. I am confident his net income is over the threshold.

Sorry to disagree with you, but my interview was on the 21st and the USEM told me they will issue my visa when they receive co-sponsor dox package... LES, W2s, Turbotax and IRS transcripts provided, copy of enlistment contract (showing 3 years left), current yearly income as of Aug 2009 - 36k... Like I said - varies from USEM to USEM and person to person...

Thank you for all the info tho!

Current yearly income as what...an E-2, E-3? You need to deduct all taxes, and witholdings from your BASE PAY only. I understand that different conculates will require different docs. BUT, the CURRENT yearly income is all that they look at for meeting the poverty level.

PM me if you need further clarification!

Hey, thank you for your support but we already have the co-sponsor package rolling! The USEM should have it by end of this/beginning of next/ week. Besides, the lady who reviewed my dox before the interview with the consul was kinda rude and it sure seemed like she had already made her mind up about the joint sponsor.. :bonk:

Thank you again tho!

Hello VJRS,

I would like to ask is 1600 monthly income above 125% poverty guideline? Has anyone here got 221g after interview?

The 221g letter said we have one year to comply all missing documents? I have my interview last october 2010 and given 221g

221g letter to submit recent pay stubs since my fiance work is new and letter require me to submit it in window 17 and i will be able to comply all documents this december 2010,early than one year they gave me.But i am worried

because my affidavit of support that has been passed during my interview has expiration of october 2010 and also

my I-797 notice of action will expire in november 6 2010. will this automatically revalidate since they gave me one year to

comply?? Is anyone has been into this situation please help. Thank you VJRS and GOD will never forsake us..GOd is good all the time.

1518$/month thats it.
