yeah as soon as you get home from your oath taking, contact NVC and let them know you're now a USC and want to update the petition. you don't have to wait for the certificate because after taking the oath, they give you your USC certificate before you go home.

Thanks for that info! I don't think the visa availability is the problem in our cases since our priority dates are current. I read something about Philippines being currently extremely behind with their scheduling. The reason for that, I'm not sure but it's definitely frustrating! The only people I've heard that have been scheduled for their interview in Manila are either their cases have been expedited, upgraded (like yours), K-1, except for Maui (but his case was completed on Sept). If only we could get more info from the embassy or NVC why it's taking so long. BTW, I just called NVC again when I got home from work tonight, and my husband hasn't been scheduled yet. The operator said that they're still scheduling for December, and to call next week blah, blah, blah. I guess as long as the operators are still saying that they're not done for December, there's still hope that we can get it! That's good enough for me right now.... :)

I tried reaching the nvc but they can't hear me but since you told me already it's the same thing, then i will just call them on wednesday or maybe on friday... it's really frustrating. :(

Don't want to be a bubble burster , but when I shared with the operater at NVC that I was hoping for a DEC interview she told me the closing date for DEC interviews was today.

I didn't argue with her, but I found it odd that NVC had anything to do with scheduling interviews at Consulates across the world. Is she full of bologne? Was she feeding me soup?

On an unrelated note, I think it would be nice for the OP of these threads to manage the list of people relevant to the topic. For instance for this thread, keeping a list of who actually has a DEC interview. I enjoy reading all the chit-chat about everyones visa journey, but it would be nice to go to the first post in a topic and get a quick summary of what is going on.

Participants could help the OP out by aggrigating their info (kind of like what IndigoSkies did in the NVC Oct thread) so all the OP has to do is copy&paste it into the first post.

Feel free to steal my interview list format in the November 2010 interview thread. Good luck to all of you that received your interview dates. November is coming to a draw and soon you guys will enjoy (or dread depends on the person, I guess) your countdown to your interview dates.
