I have posted what I believe needs to be done, as have others, many times. Take some time to read.

And both sides have a stake in perpetuating the illegal alien trade, Democrats and Republicans alike. Blaming one side or the other is just being a political apologist, when it is the very culture in Washington that needs changing.

Beyond enforcement only I don't see any other proposals the Republicans have come up to deal with the flow of migrants coming here. Since its clear this is tied to longstanding Republican lobbyist interests and is an expensive proposition for the taxpayer and given there is no real evidence it is the best solution or even a good solution in the long run I think it smells. Knee jerk reaction , ill thought out plan and whoops the court system is backed up so bad we have to let these guys go.. so how is that different than catch and release...

Washington legislators got their ticket to DC from the taxpayer, so I don;t have much hope for a change in DC Culture. It is ridiculous that they get a 20% approval rating but for some reason incumbents rarely lose. .. they get a mandate to keep it up.

The problem with the Democrats is they took the all-or-nothing approach and they got what they set out to get nothing.

I blame the politicians yes, but when the voters send these same schmucks to DC term after term they get most of the blame .
