Thanks so much for prayers and well wishes

Just got home from a rather eventful day to say the least. Got to the interview of time - waited to be called then once we were - met with IO who was NOT friendly AT ALL. At that point we were swored in and asked us bunch of stuff from forms, looked at our proofs and asked us to sign the forms. then he handed us RFE for certified deposition from traffic case back in 2008 (I didnt even know traffic violation can impact AOS but apparently it does . I explained that cases were expounged but he just told us that he will review the file once we send him that document. we immediately stopped by the court and got the papers he asked us so will send those in and then........ waiting continues.... :-(

Yay, I just received my interview letter. The interview is scheduled for the first week of February.

By the way, my i485 is still not in the online system.

I had just renewed my insurance policy but wasnt carrying proof in my car. went to court and submitted proofs and case was dismissed. They asked for RFE to send the disposition from that case.

And was the violation for you as the one applying for the greencard, or your spouse?

The violation was for mine (husband is USC) for not carrying proof of insurance in the car.

Congratulations for the interview letter ,we went today to get SS m was very quick , only EAD and Passport at the local SSA office ..

Requested EAD spelling correction , they said will mail a new one of most likely will be exchanged at the local USCIS office , I guess to make sure we only keep one original

NExt step is Driver license when SS # arrived

still waiting for interview notification

Sorry to hear about your RFE , I think you should be ok once the proof is send , the good thing the interview is over and once that satisfied should be ready to go

Did you list information about your court order in your files ?

The form has question "Been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, convicted, fined or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance, excluding traffic violations?" - I answered no but for some strange reason this came up during the interview.

I was shocked, my husband & our attorney talked about everything in preparation for the interview and even he was shocked when we were given RFE at an interview.

So immediately went to court to get the disposition and its written case was striked/dismissed but still no decision on our AOS
