Make sure you get those transcripts ready. I know if you ask IRS to mail them they take at least 2 weeks but if you order them on the phone and have them fax it, it takes like a day. I read that somewhere on the forum. Hope all turns out ok for you!

I'm an October filer as well (details in signature).

My biometrics appointment letter came rather late and my appoint is not until mid-December. (I'd love to get my EAD in 2010, but it's not looking like that will happen).

I tried to do a walk-in at the Raleigh, NC office today and made it through security where I waited in the waiting area for more than an hour. The security guard then came back and told me that they, unfortunately, were unable to squeeze me in today. They were very pleasant about it though, it was worth a try :).

Thanks for sharing your experience. I went to my scheduled Biometrics but there was nobody there. A lady was vacuming the place so I don't know if they were about to close. The officer joked around with me. I actually had a "hair" issue. It was humid that day and my hair started flipping up. It looked so stupid in the picture. He gave me two more chances to arrange my hair so I got it just barely. I thought of the member who shared her no make-up experience. Well, I thought, that won't happen to me. I came after work and was "fixed up." But the hair situation was a bit embarassing. The officer did not like it either, thats why he gave me the additional chance. Otherwise, this was a 10 minute deal, in and out.
