I received this online today re my case status -

Request for Evidence Response Review

On October 20, 2010, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Once a timely response to the request for evidence is received by USCIS, we review the evidence or information you submitted. If you submitted the requested evidence, we continue with the adjudication of your application or petition in light of the new evidence

Richi, It is good in the sense you are now confirmed that the ball is in their court now to review your RFE response.

But it doesnt mention the so called 5 month backlog or anything, it mentions 60 days, right? Ive never seen that before Loto. Am i reading it right, I will have a decision in 60 days if not expedited I presume?

Richi, RFE clearance needs 60 days (this is standard message). Approval is after that.

So it could come on day 60, 61 or then continue with the normal 5 month processing time you think?

Yes then it will continue the normal 5 months processing time, unless the expedite granted.

But, since you have completed sometime before the RFE stage, now it won't take full 5 months.

Also, RFE will be cleared soon, it won't take full 60 days. They always say the upper limit.
