Hi we just had our interview and then the officer gave us a form that my case will be under review for 180 days. Then after two months after the interview immigration officer came to out house but unfortunately we are not home because we are working that time. And the immigration officer called my wife and asking if were are we and my wife explained to them. And ask where I am. But i'm working out of state right now, so if they come again I might be not there for a while... So any suggestions what the immigration officer might do with my case after what happened? THanks...

Were you approved for a green card or were you still under review for your case? What happened at the interview? Why were you under review?

I assume you have an EAD that allows you to work, right?

The reason the IO came to your house is precisely because he/she suspects you aren't living together. Apparently, their suspicions are well founded. Unfortunately, this does call into question the validity of your marriage. They can deny your AOS for this.

I realize that in this economy a couple will sometimes have to go to extremes to make enough money to pay the bills, and that this sometimes requires them to live apart for some time. Unfortunately, USCIS holds us to a higher standard. Almost everything that they use to establish the bona fides of a relationship require the couple to live together. Their justification is that if you don't actually need to live together then you don't actually need to immigrate to the US. You could have stayed in your home country if your objective was to live apart.
