Hi guys! Im new to this site and we're assembling my k-1 package. I have a few questions and I hope you can help me.

1. I checked on the VJ package checklist http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide and it didn't say here that as a benificiary i need to send him my birth certificate. I already sent him what i need to send based on this checklist including signed g-325a, signed letter of intent to marry,my passport-type photo, and some of the receipts he left me like hotel receipts and remittance receipts. As i was reading forums about k1 visa, some says i need to send my birth certificate. Some says not. Now I'm confused. I told my fiance about it and he said I dont have to worry because I can just scan my birth certificate and send it to him then he will print it. Makes sense but my worry is do I have to send him the original so in case we get an RFE he can respond to it as soon as possible?

2. I had my picture taken here in Photoline in SM and asked the photographer that I need a passport-type photo for my visa. He said "Ok Ma'am! I know it." That being said, i trusted him thinking he knows what he's doing. After getting the pictures, I send the documents through LBC. When I get home I checked the photos for the US travel state specifications if its right and I just realized it should be 2x2. It's a bit smaller to the standard 2x2 sized photos I have and same size with my sister's photo in her Philippine passport. Now Im worried about it coz my fiance already received the documents I sent him. I had that pictures saved in my USB so maybe I can just forward it to him then have him print it himself. What do you think? By the way, It also says on the specifications not to retouch or otherwise enhance or soften the photo BUT the photographer removed some pimple marks in my face though its not that obvious. :D My fiance said I look like ghost in that photo. LOL. Maybe because Im not smiling in the photo. But he said everything else is fine except the size of the photo. Im really worried about it. Do you think I should get another picture taken?

I badly need opinions coz he's about to file it maybe tomorrow or Saturday for him but we can file a day later as long as we get everything settled. We're trying to avoid RFE here and we want everything to run smoothly. I will appreciate all your replies. Thanks for reading and God Bless!

I sent my original birth certificate to my fiance. You can always just go to any NSO business office and request another. That's what i did. For the picture, you can always go to the photo shop and get the right size this time and remind not to edit it.Goodluck!

You don't need to send your Birth Certificate with the I-129F application.

They ask for a copy of your Birth Certificate in the Checklist you receive in the first package from the US Embassy before your interview.

They do however, need the Petitioners birth certificate in the I-129F application!

Good luck
