Hi I am getting married in January and my fianace currently lives in Pakistan. I was wondering what is the approx. time for all the process?

Service Center - 4 to 6 months time

NVC - 1 to 2 months time

Consulate Interview - 1.5 to 3 months time.

Best case scenario - 7 months

Worst case scenario - 11 months

Thank you. I am currently a uni student and live with my parents and only have a part time and am financially supported by my parents. My parents are going to be the one supporting my fiance. Will that create problems?

It won't create any problems. When you are at NVC stage, it will be properly answered about sponsor (I-864) and joint sponsor (I-864A) relationship.

Oh great!! Thanks so much, that helps a lot. That was the only thing I was worried about. According to the link you provided me, I am all set to start the process once I get married. :)

I would say, don't delay the things. File I-130 on the same day of the marriage if you get marriage certificate. There is no other blockers!

Again, good luck and happy married life! Please don't forget to click the pics of wedding, honeymoon etc., It would help in this process. Believe me every piece of communication such as phone logs, chats, emails etc., trip details etc. are useful.

And presuming you are getting married in your fiance's country, don't forget to take the documents with you for his signature (get extras too).
