Do you need ALL pages of your 1040 tax returns?

Hi, I was wondering for the affradavit of support, do you need every page of the tax returns including all the itemized deductions, captial gains loss or gain worksheet, schedule D, etc? Or do you just need to submit the 1040 itself?

Why not just contact the IRS and send a copy of your transcript instead

Because I already have all the copies and pages. I just want to reduce the paper work as much as possible.

I sent all the pages -- just to be on the safe side. Probably a safe bet anyway...

Hello,

I was advised and sent both my official tax transcripts (last three years), that you get via free phone order from the IRS, along with photocopies of all my original tax papers I filled out along with the associated W-2's. I thought just the tax transcripts would suffice (since they are "official") - maybe they do, but looking at the tax forms versus the transcripts, the tax forms seem easier to understand to me, have my signature and provide more detail. Maybe that's why? Godspeed.

My fiance made copies of every page of three years of my tax returns--and the person who collected his paperwork at the interview never asked for any of it. They didn't ask for my bank letter either.

If you already have the copies made, just send them. It is better to have too much evidence than not enough.
