Need help with this.

I am filing I-130 + AOS + AP + Work Permit.

Company lawyer said that I only need 2 passport-style fotos per filing for I-485, I-131, I-765, six in total.

However, instructions on I-130 say this:

C. A passport-style color photo of yourself and a passport-style color photo of your husband or wife, taken within 30 days of the date of this petition. The photos must have a white background and be glossy unretouched and not mounted. The dimensions of the full frontal facial image should be about 1 inch from the chin to top of the hair. Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph.

Anybody has any idea if these are needed or maybe this is only if you file 130 alone?

You lawyer is right, for the I-485 there are 2, for the I-131 there are 2 and I-765 there are 2, equalling 6 in total. Your lawyer would be wrong if he said for the I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 there were only 6. But as your statement excluded his mention of the I-130, he's right.

As you are filing the I-130, you also include the pics for that which are 1 for you, and one for your USC husband.

...while shaving on the morning of my bio appointment I practiced different looks in the mirror, but ended up just looking straight in the camera, slightly the corners of my mouth up (see my avatar j/k) ....seriously, I don't think it's wrong if you smile in the camera, in contrary it may makes someone's day having your file in hand. Just don't have a biiiiiiig cheese or a vicious grin when they take your photo, but also don't look like you just had been arrested ;) - either way should be fine. As far as the earring goes, well that's just you, so why not? Have a fun day picture/fingerprints taking

Maxximus

p.s. if you have Costco membership, go there, found out to be the cheapest place, silly me just got 2 sets in the first place and forgot that I needed 7 in total so had to go back for my I-765 application....
