You must have been a supply type. I was on an S-2 recon team before I got my commission. My only complaint about the S-3 shop was that they had more resources than we did, but we had all the trick stuff they wanted to play with. I spent a lot of time with the S-2 and S-3 actuals in the field. Even our S-1 was special forces in another life. Those were some fun times.
