Montreal Storage Lockers

First off, congratulations to all the recent approvals.

I'm probably going to stay at La Tour across the road (a rip off, but convenient), and since my fiancee is in school, I will be taking the train by myself from London, ON. I'm going down the day before and returning the same day of the interview.

The question is: Does anyone know where I can put my cell phone and suitcase while I am at the interview? Are there storage lockers nearby? Any idea what is the latest I'll be out of the embassy?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking for convenience, Le Square Phillips is literally one block away as well-probably the same distance from the consulate as La Tour. We just stayed there this past weekend for our interview yesterday and were quite happy. They will gladly store all of your luggage even after you check out the morning of the interview--we checked out at about 6:25am and they had no issue storing our luggage at that point until we were done at the consulate. I don't know much about La Tour, but they may have a similar service? Otherwise, I'd highly recommend Le Square Phillips for the night. Hope that helps!

Edited to add: Le Square Phillips looks to be more expensive than La Tour. It probably couldn't hurt to call and ask if they have lockers to store luggage for a bit.

Edited again to add: You also asked about timing for getting out of the embassy--we were there yesterday and were done by about 9:30--but we did get there way early and were the first ones upstairs. I've heard it can take a LOT longer than that.

Hello fellow Londoner! Most hotels will store your luggage in their luggage room. Ask at the front desk. When I went for my interview in June, I stayed at Hotel le Dauphin which is an easy walk, about 5 minutes or less, to the Consulate. Great place and can highly recommend it. I walked out of the consulate at 9.30am. Just make sure you are standing in line at the consulate by no later than 6.45am. Good luck!

Ok so maybe this is a dumb question...does that mean you cannot enter the consulate with your cell phone or any of the other forbidden items? Ie, there's no option to leave your phone or keys at the consulate (meaning before you enter the main area) itself??
