It doesn't hurt. In the interview they are just looking for ways to substantiate your relationship. The best things to have are statements from your bank and/or utilities that have both your names on it. But again, bring as much information as possible, because it's better to have it than not.

It wouldn't hurt, but that's more for the 10 year green card. If you send in enough evidence such as that for your 10 year card, they will approve you without an interview.

But if you don't think you have enough evidence to back you up for conditional permanent residence, I guess this wouldn't hurt!

I wouldnt say you needed it for your AOS interview. As long as you have a couple of joint official letters and some wedding pics you will be fine.

We may bring a couple of emails that relatives sent to both of us. But I would not ask for a letter just for the interview.

We had two letters with us, but our interviewer didn't ask for a shred of evidence. I never removed anything from our huge binder. Maybe he thought the size of the binder was enough proof...

They made me feel more prepared, but in the end we didn't need them.

A friend of mine was initially rejected for AOS until she came back with more proof of shared domicile/ongoing relationship -- apparently they didn't have enough to satisfy the adjudicator. She went back with a sheaf of notarized letters from family. friends, the mayor (who knew both of them), and the mail carrier (who confirmed that he delivered mail to both of them at the same residence)........and got her AOS.

I personally didn't take any with me for my interview, but like others have said, it wouldn't hurt. :)
