Lots of I-130 petitions approved for May filers but for CR1 visas, not the dead K3.

You'll have a better chance of getting answers posting in the CR1 forum or looking at the timeline data available here. If there's a may filers (of I-130) thread it will be in the CR1 forum, not here.

Have you checked the other K3 link on member updates? You may want to request for one of the mods to transfer your post there.

if ever we proceed to K3 still it will close in the NVC once the I 130 will approved wat im asking is it will take long for the CR1?

Maybe a month or 2 longer, depending on circumstances, but at least when you land, no need to adjust status and spend another $1,010 for that. You will be eligible to apply for a SSN and start working (or go back to school, if that's what you want to do). You'd just have to file for removal of conditions later.

Our i130 was received by the CSC last May 28th and until now we didn't get the noa2. We submitted the i129f last June. What happens recently is the USCIS will approve both petitions at the same time so the NVC will receive them together. Then the NVC will close the K3 and proceed processing for IV. So this leaves us no choice but pursue the IV which they say takes a couple of months longer. But there are advantages with this route though so for me, it still is worth waiting for a few months

Id rather disregard my K3 application applied last Oct 2010 it shows that the time frame are also 5 months..we're are running 6 months in our IR1 I130 application, will get NOA2 within 45 days according to USCIS....Recommend to call the customer service to get some updates in your application , better to have idea how your status going.ciao
