I had my biometric appointment not too long ago, and to my surprise I got a letter in the mail today for an interview.

They give you a checklist with all the things you need to bring etc, but I have a question about one of the things that is listed on there.

It states that you need to bring:

"A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)".

The "problem" is, we never filled out the I-693 Form. But I did have a medical exam in Amsterdam (vaccines + x-rays + overal health check). Does that count as the I-693?

I have my interview November 22.. I doubt there will be enough time to fill it out and get the exam if it's needed.

Please help? :)

They didn't customize that letter for you. It's more of a one-size-fits-all form letter that would include all the people adjusting who didn't have a medical exam in a foreign country and would need one (I-693.) You must have felt confident that all the immunizations you need were recorded on your visa medical paperwork or you would have seen a civil surgeon already. So the medical info for your interview should be "already submitted" via the brown envelope turned in a POE. One of my Italian friends got the same letter and the medical never even came up at the interview, even without an I-693. There's a chance your medical file (in the A-file) didn't get ordered initially by the contractors who open the applications, or you really didn't get all your shots, or your particular interviewer might decide you need a flu shot (Oct-Mar), but you won't know that until you show up. My opinion is that it's probably best to see how it goes and know exactly what to remediate if needed.

I had a complete medical exam done at the civil surgeon in about one week, so there's plenty of time if you do need that. You'll just be several hundreds poorer, so hopefully not!

Thanks!

I did get all my shots and I do have copy of my vacines, so I should be good. I guess they can always say after the interview to go do the medical exam again.
