Do I need a police clearance please read the following information:

Hey sorry everyone I put them in columes but it will not work so when you read you have to read one row all the way down then go to next row...SOrry for the inconvenince

Police Certificates are not availiable for these countries....

Afghanistan, Ghana, Libya, Somalia, Venezuela

Angola, Guatemala, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam

Azerbiajan, Haiti, Mexico, Sudan,

Bangladesh, Honduras, Mongolia, Syria,

Bulgaria, Indonesia, Nepal, Tajikistan,

Cambodia, Iran, Nicaragua, Thailand,

Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkery,

Colombia, Kazakhstan, Saudia Arabia, USA,

Equatorial Guinea, Laos, Sierra Leone, Uzbekistan,

You have to be Physical Present in these countries to get your police certificate and you have to apply in person:

Belarus, Comoros, Kuwait, Rwanda,

Brazil, Cuba, Lebanon, Suriname,

Chile, Ethiopia, Paraguay, Ukraine,

Only through the US Embassy or Consulate Contact the American Consular Office if you currently are, or have been a resident of these countries:

Bermuda

Brunei

Korea

Netherlands

IF your country was not mention in here then you will be able to get your police certificate, without using one of these methods... I am not an immigration officier so if your country is mention please check with your embassy website... I however did get this information off a official K1 - K3 website.... I hope this will help everyone who is searching to see if they need a police clearance good luck everyone!

10 Aug 2006- Recieved Packet-3

14 Aug 2006- Received Passport Clearance Certificate

24 Aug 2006- Recieved Birth Non-Availability Certificate from MNC,Agra & Police Certificate

30 Aug 2006- Handover DS-230 Part-1 with Checklist to US Embassy,New Delhi

08 Sept 2006- Recieved Packet 4 with Interview Appointment Letter

18 Sept 2006- In New Delhi for Medical Test

25 Sept 2006- Recieved Medical Report

28 Sept 2006- Handover I-129F form & documents to VFS Office,New Delhi

12 Oct 2006- Interview Time

12 Oct 2006- Interivew awesome,Embassy holded my Visa due to unable to show the I-134 Affidavit of Support

19 Oct 2006- Handed Over the I-134 Affidavit of Support to VFS Office,New Delhi

01 Nov 2006- Visa been Issued wooohooooo

14 Nov 2006- Recieved Passport with K1 Visa and a Sealed Envelope

23 Nov 2006- POE Chicago..way easy..asked easy questions, boarded the flight for Phoenix to meet me lol!!

07 Dec 2006- Applied for SSN

21 Dec 2006- Recieved the SSN

16 Dec 2006- Got Married with my Jatin woooohoooooo!!!

The best source to find info on police certificates is this: http://travel.state.gov/visa/reciprocity/index.htm

Be sure to check that link for specific info on the country you need a certificate from.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I would not go by this if I were you, we were going to go by this information as well and found out it was wrong, you need to go by the reciprocity table that mew mentioned in here post, that is where you can find updated information about police reports and how to get them for each country. I just spoke with the Consulate today and asked them if the reciprocity table was updated and they said yes it was up to date, so it is better to be safe than sorry.

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

3/13/07 - AOS package rec'd at Chicago Lockbox

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

5/22/07 - rec'd Case Pending at CSC email

6/25/07 - EAD card production ordered

7/7/07 - EAD "touched"

7/7/07 - AOS "touched"

8-6-07 - Rec'd EAD Card in the Mail

5-20-08 - AOS INTERVIEW - APPROVED - PASSPORT STAMPED
