Is the Ghana Backlog for real?

Hey guys,

I just read a few posts referring to a backlog of cases in Ghana. Can anyone shed some light on how bad the situation is? My wife's case was completed in August and I was thinking that I could have her here with me before January - is this wishful thinking? Is pulling consular strings the only way to get a quick interview?

sorry to say it is wishful thing i have been waiting for an interview since dec,2009

Sorry to burst your dream- but yes the backlog is real. Look at all the timeslines for CR-1s. We were hoping to see a turn around with the completion of the DV lotto but that has yet to be seen.

Interview for K-1s have already been scheduled for the end of January- so I don't suspect any CR-1s will have interviews before that.

Hang on for this long ride. I wish you and all the spousal visa catagory good luck because its a long haul.

Yes they are right you must wait at least a year it appears and actually in all reality probably longer than that. Good luck!
