October 2010 CSC filers!

So I just called USCIS. The lady seemed nice at first, and I told her that a few days ago the lady told me to call back on the 1st (today) and she said ok yes I see that your file has reached 5 months so I can go ahead and put in a service request, and then she asked me some questions about military and random stuff, and then she said Im sorry maam you have to wait and call back in 15 days.

baahhhhhhhhhhh

you gotta be kidding me!!! they told you to keep waiting ??????as if you hadn't waited enough!! don't they know that long-distance relationships are about waiting ALL THE TIME!!?? all we want is to be approved within the 5 months mark...that's all...why can't they do it? :angry: I hope you don't have to call again and get your NOA2 before the 15 days.

Thanks me too! It is quite ridiculous. What angers me is that she gave me that ounce of hope and feeling that she was going to do someting about it when she said she'd put in a service request... but then she was like NOPE. It was really confusing and I felt tears building up because she was seriously about to put the request in.

Look at the bright side! At least CSC is not making you wait 6 months like us!! :wacko::angry::( I hope you guys dont get a RFE and get your NOA2 soon!:thumbs:

Thanks, thats even more ridiculous. Have you called them? What have they said if you have? They should have put in a service request for you for sure.

We have called them but we got a RFE on february 9 and they got our response on february 24. My fiance talked to his congresswoman and she said she cant do anything really cause we have heard from USCIS in the last 60 days. So lame :( And also on the email USCIS sent him it says we'll hear from them in the next SIXTY (60) days! This is ridiculous! <_<

ohh I see so you have an RFE. at least your case has been looked at. but I dont want an rfe lol. sorry to hear though hope it speeds up!

Tier 2 ISO is required to actually tell you anything of value regarding your petition status.

When I talked to Tier I they told me to call back after 15 days because I was within 5 months. I counted months with him from October 1st to March 1st, and asked where we get the extra 15 days. He said because they are processing September 16th now. I asked him to please quit reading his script, and put me through to someone that could talk about my case. The IOS looked up my account and said that I had an RFE mailed on 2/24. Wasn't the news I wanted to hear, but at least I know they have my case and I'll have something soon. Who would have believed that an RFE would be welcome news?!?!

Yep I told the tier 1 lady that 5 months doesn't mean 5 months and 15 days. But tier 2 didn't say I had an RFE. thankfully. but at least you found out you had been dealt with I suppose! good luck!

My fiance cheekily called and requested an expedite since I start a job in May - they said we would hear back in 5 days, if not to call back.

Fiance will call back tomorrow. We will be at our 5 month mark in a couple of days and you can bet your #### we'll be calling/nagging/whining every day until we have our NOA2!

We are hoping to expedite the EAD also - I wonder if that will happen? ha!

I'm so sick of wishing everyone good luck because it seems to delay us even further - so ummm fingers crossed instead?

Hi All,

I've been following this thread, agonizing over how much longer it will take for us October filers.

I just wanted to give you all hope, as I just received the email that our NOA2 was sent out today!

Our NOA1 was dated Oct 12, 2010 and we never had any touches. Now on to scheduling the interview..

Best of luck to everyone, I hope this means the October people are well on their way!
