2011-04-08 NOA 2

"Wait for the person who pursues you, the one who will make an ordinary moment seem magical, the kind of person who brings out the best in you and makes you want to be a better person; wait for the person who will be your best friend, the person who will drop everything to be with you at anytime no matter the circumstances, wait for the person who makes you smile like no one else does and when they smile you know they need you. Wait for the person who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats and a t-shirt, but appreciates it when you dress up for them. And most of all wait for the person who will put you at the center of their universe because that's where you belong."

Lucky people. Maybe they were just examples used for new employees or something - I like to be a bit naive on this point hehe!

I had a touch today btw, thought it would be worth mentioning. My last one was the day after they sent the NOA1.

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Yeah but you'd think they'd make the new employees pick the ones next in line? hahaha.

Good that you got a touch. I am OCT 1 and i've only had 1 touch on oct 7.

Maybe they pour all the petitions out on the floor and dig in. I've heard of the Visa lottery before  hehe.

I see you're only a day or too away from the 5 months. Hopefully your timeline is soon to be updated on VJ :)

that would be a crazy way of doing it!

I have figured out one thing about the USCIS: there is nothing rational or sane about the way they adjudicate these petitions. A simple "first in, first out" system would be kind of cool ... and fair even! If it was in Ukraine you would know someone just handed them cash. Here it would seem to be simple incompetence!

Can I be the first to say a big fat wat the eff to these Jan/Feb approvals!? What the hell is going on at CSC? Last I checked october came before nov/dec/jan/feb. Saying that they have pulled them out for training exercises is no excuse to 'pull out' peitions filed a few weeks ago - there are mountains of boxes and people waiting that can be used for training purposes. What a load of BS!

My fiance called USCIS today and put in an expedite request - they seemed to entertain our request and said we'll be hearing back within 5 days. I don't care that we haven't reached the 5 months - neither did those that filed a month ago.

So over this ####### process. GRRRRR!!!!!

Having said that, I hope everyone has a lovely day today :) and someone checks a calendar at CSC and realises that October 2010 comes before Jan 2011.

The date of when they recieved the petition magically changed to a couple of days prior to the original date, so that was probably what the touch was about. Don't know if anybody else has noticed something similar?

Curveball: True! I'm figuring the new petitions hadn't been boxed like the Sep/Oct/Nov petitions. Anyways, that just speculation and no matter the excuse it's still an odd system. Keeping fingers crossed that you'll hear from them within 5 days.

That's odd. They got mine on Sept 28th and dated my online portfolio October 1st and mine is still the same, no touches.

Its frustrating to look at the bar graph and see that october is the smallest month with approvals... even compared to feb which is this month which to me makes little sense... besides if they were expedited of course, but these recent january peeps and nov. peeps I dont think had expedites.

Still waiting for approval...why is it taking them so long to move on to October?!?! I was getting excited when they started moving closer to our date (October 2nd), but there haven't been any October 2010 approvals as of recent. I keep my cell phone on me at all times and I check my email and the USCIS site constantly, I must be going crazy!

Regarding that "Oct 10 are being processed" I believe it's due to the recent approvals from Jan/Feb since it's not just one or two approvals. It's a matter of the way Igor's list is set up and programmed. Besides, there are only a few Vj'ers in total from those months so the graph is going to show a higher percentage than any other month.

I'm sure when more Dec/Jan/Feb filers join it will alter again. I did my own math and as long as CSC spits out an average of 21 NOA2s per week prior to my timeline I'll be seeing a NOA2 around the 10th. I only use Igor's list to see how many are getting approved but there are other factors in it as well.

Aaanyways.. I'm about to start playing an adventure game to pass time this evening. Ironically, it's called The Longest Journey. :D

Last night I got an SMS from a 5 digit number and got so excited ... only to find it was T-Mobile advertising some new data plan :( I really can't believe the way this process works. Just imagine when these same people are in charge of our health care! The kid with the stubbed toe that walked into the ER 5 minutes ago will in the exam room while the guy with heart attack sits in the waiting room for 12 hours. You're not going crazy, you're just watching insanity in action!
