Tomorrow will make my petition officially past the 5 month processing time. I'm prepared to call the Vermont center tomorrow, but will they tell me anything? Is it worth it? My lawyer is saying they will wait a 30 days after the 5 mth processing time before calling, which I don't agree with. Who wants to wait another month??

I called them a couple of days ago because we are going on six months now....the guy was helpful, looked everything up, said they are still working on files a month before ours and if we don't hear anything in another month (30 days passed the 5 mos processing time) to call back.

well your timeline says... Processing

Estimates/Stats :Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between August 22, 2010 and September 8, 2010*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

I think I would call to check on it.... I do not understand their processing.....how some get approved quickly.. and other sit and wait... but I do not work in the processing center so I will not dare judge what they deal with every day...like all jobs Im sure it would suck to have us hounding them daily ...heck they might get more done lol...but 5 months you have reason to check on it! keep us posted!!

July 24,2010- Nigel proposed!!

September 1, 2010- posted the k-1 (lewisville address)

September 3, 2010 - forwarded to dallas

September 6, 2010- recieved in dallas

September 9, 2010- text and email alerts 2:30 a.m.!!! but worth being woke up to

September 10, 2010 check cashed

October 3, 2010- joined VJ going bonkers waiting....

March 4, 2011 NOA2 after a long 177 days waiting ( no text email or onliine update.. still says in review)

March 10, 2011 NVC received and issued LND#

March 12, 2011 NOA2 hard copy received

March 17, 2011 we are at London.. packet 3 sent out

March 18, 2011 packet 3 sent back to London

Yeah, I called USCIS and the CSR gave me a Receipt Number that suppose to officially say that I called and put in the request... it's a long ALPHANUMERIC # that has CSC on the last part of it... will that help at all? Does anyone know?

He said exactly what you just wrote... (30 days past the 5 months time) or 30 days past the time I called USCIS? which is it?

Yikes!

we had to wait close to 7 months for our NOA2. We had a RFE which was Bull****, which made it that long. However, before the RFE my fiance had his congresswomen look into our case for us because we were waiting way past our time. Basically, they found our file sitting at the bottom of a pile on someone's desk A week later we got the RFE. So clearly, they can process the cases quickly, if they want to! Are you able to get a 'higher authority' to look into where your case may be? It may help. I believe we would still be waiting if we didn't get our congresswomens help.

Good luck!

So I called and first off, they are reading a script like robots and it was so annoying because I know what i want to ask, but I didn't want to be rude and cut the guy off. All they did was send a request to agency and told me that they should respond within thirty days and I should call back then. They tell you nothing. I'm definitely calling my congressman.

I stopped calling, it's not going anywhere...As you mentioned, they read the script like dummy! and can't answer anything else.

Hi vj,

I just called uscis, today. The csr was very nice to me and said my case is pending for another 33 days and to call back then. He also said the uscis has bumped the processing time for I130 to 6 months. I told him how come their web site says 5 months but he assured me I could hear something before the 33 days. I am already 125 days in the process

Also, he said csc has a lot of petitions on I130 for now and lack of man power.

So, I guess I have to waittttttttttt.
