what is a Packet 3 and Packet 4?

We received our interview date via email on October 9th from the NVC, but I have not received anything else from the NVC or the Lagos Consulate. Should I have received a packet 3 or 4? Should I be concerned? Oh and my husband thinks he needs to get ANOTHER birth certificate and new Police clearances just to go to the interview even though we had the originals already submitted to the NVC. Included with the email it had a document legend and a list of items, but everything was submitted in the beginning and nothing additonal was requested. Please help!

I am not sure you get pkt 3 and 4 when filing an IR-1/CR-1 but I am not 100% I think pkt 3and 4 is for us K-1 folks.....but FYI pkt 3 in terms of K-1 visa is the email they send you there is a link and you go to the link and download the paperwork and take with you to the embassy on your interview date, and pkt 4 is the interview date they send you in that same email so there is no actual pkt 3&4 in naija when it comes to K-1 it is just the email they send with the interview date and the link to download DS 156 and 156K and some other stuff like where to do the medical and get the police certification. Good luck with everything maybe someone filing Cr-1/ir-1 can come along and clarify things for you I hope I didnt confuse you... :)

Feb. 10, 2011 Received txt and email of NOA for AOS, EAD, and AP

Feb. 11, 2011 Check cashed for AOS

Feb. 12, 2011 Touched

Feb. 14, 2011 received hard copy of NOA for AOS, EAD& AP

Feb. 18, 2011 received appt letter for biometrics

Feb. 28, 2011 biometrics appt @10am

Feb. 28, 2011 received txt/email AOS case transferred to csc

Mar 1, 2011 AOS Touched

Mar 3, 2011 received hard copy of AOS transfer to csc

Mar 4, 2011 AOS Touched

Mar 28, 2011 Received txt/email saying card production has been ordered. (1month 3eeks 3days)

Mar 28, 2011 Received 2nd txt/email saying we have registered this customer permanent residence status

Mar 29, 2011 Received 3rd txt/email says card production has been ordered.

April 1, 2011 greencard and welcome letter in hand!!

April 5, 2011 received txt/email EAD card production ordered

Will Start Removing Conditions Dec 2012!!!!

Dec. 26, 2012 mailed ROC paperwork

Dec. 28, 2012 NOA for ROC paperwork

Jan. 7, 2013 received bio appt letter

Jan. 24, 2013 bio appt.

June 22, 2013 10yr green card received

congrats for the great news.you will not get anything again from the nvc or the embassy,you just need to move on to doing your medicals immediately because you will have to return to the hospital at least 3times and will advise you to be there early enough.call kamorass on 7731536 to be sure of what to bring.

congrats once again

you need your international passport

A copy of your packet 4(interview notification)

a passport photo and the medical fee but you will not pay everything same day.
