Hey ppl :)

Just thought I'd share my experience with everyone who will do their medical in VITA clinic, Sofia. :)

My appointment was on Monday at 10am (called Thursday to schedule it). The lady told me on the phone that they are usually available everyday for that type of appointments but it is wise to call a couple of days in advance. :)

So I got there, gave them my passport, Bulgarian ID, 2 passport photos and my medical charts.

NOTE: Bring your medical records in order to avoid paying extra for additional shots!!!

The lady at the register put my info in their system, gave me a medical form that was for the physicians to fill out (on which they glued my photos on) and a small paper that said what floor and which door to got for the different check-ups! :)

This is how it went:

1. General check-up/ Internal diseases

2. Ears/Nose/Throat check-up

3. Eye check-up

4. Chest X-ray

5. Blood test

Everything went smoothly, doctors were nice and I didn't have to wait long to get in. :) Once I was done with the blood test I had to go back to X-ray to get my "picture" :P and go back to the General check-up doctor to give her back the filled out form and the x-ray. She took them and told me to come back in 3 hrs to get the results.

I only paid 61$ - that's why I said - BRING UR MEDICAL RECORDS. If you don't have them: you can buy a LICHNA AMBULATORNA KARTA from any bookstore and you can ask ur personal doctor to fill out the info for you! :)

Results come in a big envelope that contains the chest X-ray, a sheet that gives info about shots you have and shots you were given and a smaller sealed envelope that must be brought to the interview UNOPENED so please - DO NOT OPEN IT!

Good luck to everyone! And hope my info helps!

ps: I chose VITA cos it had many available days. The other clinic is 3$ cheaper (the mandatory tests) but the only available day for my medical was the day before the interview and I kinda didn't want to risk it! :innocent:
