Geezzzzzz.....why does Lagos have to be so hard. I'm so glad that my hubby didn't come in through there. I probably would have been bald by now or I would have already relocated to Nigeria....

Everything is going well with us. My husband has received his CNA, his work permit and has started working through a Nursing Staffing agency. He is also pursuing part-time work since his hours with the staffing agency varies so much. In the meantime, we are waiting for the AOS interview date.

I'm like blah0323, I don't post a lot but I like to read what's going on with others. I really do learn a lot.

Hope things are going well with everyone else.

Hi - Felshen!

Take Care!

Just an update from Re and I. He also just completed his CNA course and is now switching to a CNA job. He's also starting classes to get his RN.

Some of you remember the family issues we had before. Now that my family has met Re, they are doing much better. My parents will now call me frequently just to say hello.

As for me, I'm still just working. It's wonderful to have Re there to come home to.

Kanyiri and Boaz,

You need to check around if you haven't and or don't know already. There are so many programs offerring free nursing schooling (LVN and RN) to be your household income. My husband is starting a program in January. Check with your workforce departments they should know who received the grant monies. Awesome opportunity. Glad to know all is well.

:D Am glad someone posted such a great question to respond to....My hubby who is Ghanaian plays professional soccer and has just relocated to a new team in Greece...He is adjusting well although he is still learning to speak Greek and finds it quite difficult to pick up! He is fluent in Turkish so he is happy to run to people who speak that language over there... I am here in California still waiting to hear some feedback about the Ghanaian embassy..His brother will try to go to the embassy for us tomorrow and see if he is able to book an interview appointment for the i129f and pick up packet 3..since they just received our case last week...If not, then my hubby will need to fly back to Ghana to set the interview date because since we just recently did a change of address for him and chances are they will send it Cyprus where he last was! I still miss him like crazy and am trying to continue to be patient about this whole visa process.. Our i130 was approved 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting on the NVC to send me the first set of paperwork to get that moving..Glad to hear that all who are adjusting to life with your SO's are doing well and forging head in school, their careers, etc...Hmm I wonder what has happened to VALENTINE? He sure made our forum a hot area to read about! B)

I'm still here also. Like other's with their spouse here, I usually stop by and read, but don't have much to post. Malcon got his provisional G C over the summer. We even got to try it out. We went to a friend's in Michigan and made two trips over into Canada. No problem with him (although they gave me a hard time because I only had my Driver's licence and no birth certificate). I thought it was halarious that they troubled me and he was fine. :) . I wrote on here a wile back that we are expecting. We are due March 1st. I'm just finishing my first trimester and hopefully the morning sickness will be finished soon. I started back to school (I'm a teacher) last week, so I hope I feel better soon! Malcon is still going to school for his GED (1/2 day classes) and doing some construction work on the side. He has applied for a full time job (we should find out in the next day or so). If he gets it, we'll hardly see each other for the next couple of months because he will be working all day and taking the classes in the evening. But, it will put us in a much better place for when the baby comes. So, I think I can handle it until December. His teachers think he should be able to pass the exam at the beginning of December. Well, I think that updates us (I'm probably missing something, but can't think of it).

Congrats on the Baby!!! As far as going into Canada, I believe the first of 2007, the laws change concerning passports and all. You have to have them to go into Mexico and somewhere else I just can't remember where.

We are around. I think many of us are just silently watching VJ around us. I do wish the people in our forum were more active to reach out to one another it gets lonely sometimes. I also wonder where in the world is VALENTINE. :hehe: He and his dramas were amusing. And where is Jideprincess? She is so much fun.
