Hello!!

My name is Diana, from Guatemala and I'm engaged to Christopher, from Texas.

I'll tell you a little about us so you can kindly give us your thoughts: We met december 2009 on-line and fell inlove. He came sept. 2010 (for my bday!! =) The best gift ever!) and spent 5 days with me. It was simply magical, ment to be.. and all those lovey things one feels when you know you met the one =)!!!!. We've talked about getting married and he proposed so WE'RE ENGAGED!! We're going to try out the K-1 fiance Visa. The thing and boo of our story is: He just graduated from college at the beginning of Sept, so he hasn't payed taxes and he's been working for his dad this past month, and between that and our plans he still hasn't looked for a job in his new field (Simply no time for it =( ). His parents said they would cosponsor him, but I've read that some countries don't accept co-sponsors, so I was wondering: Does Guatemala accept cosponsors for the k-1 process? Please help us. I hope they do, we would die if we are not able to be together untill he payed taxes next year (if that is what it takes).

07/14/2011-> Interview at 8:00 am. APPROVED!!!
07/18/2011-> Pick up Visa at the Embassy.
08/03/2011-> P.O.E.
10/15/2011-> MARRIED!

11/10/2011-> NOA Date According email & online status.

11/19/2011-> Hard Copies & Biometrics App. Letter.

11/23/2011-> Biometrics Walk In. (Original App. 12/06/2011)

02/07/2012-> AOS transferred to CSC.

02/17/2012-> EAD Card Received in Mail.

05/04/2012-> Green Card Production Ordered.

05/10/2012-> Green Card and Welcome Letter Received.
ROC

02/03/2014-> ROC Packet Sent.

02/10/2014-> NOA1 Date according to Hard Copy.

03/11/2014-> Biometrics Date.

08/01/2014-> Approved (Letter Rcvd. 08/07/14)

08/14/2014-> 10 Year Green Card Received.

N-400

11/02/2015-> N-400 Packet Sent.

11/04/2015-> N-400 Packet Delivdered.

11/05/2015-> NOA1 Date according to Hard Copy.

12/01/2015-> Biometrics Date.

04/07/2016-> Civics Exam and Interview (Rescheduled from 03/01) PASSED!

04/27/2016-> Oath. I am a US Citizen. This is how this journey ends!

I know this is super old, but in the Guatemalan embassy I do not see in the PDF information packet anything about using a cosponsor, are co-sponsors still allowed when interviewing for the K1??

Interview: 2016-2-26 Approved!

Visa in hand: 2016-3-3

POE: 2016-3-23

Married: 2016-3-25 (L)

AOS

AOS filed and delivered: 2016-4-18

Check cashed by USCIS: 2016-5-4

Text notification received: 2016-5-5

NOA arrived in mail for AOS, EAD, AP: 2016-5-7

Biometrics Appointment: 2016-5-24

Service request created by me since we have not heard anything about EAD: 2016-7-12
