Based on a number of like-minded posters, it's quite clearly that you guys have seen ex Soviet countries and assume the rest of the world is like this too. No Danno, it's not. Hence why countries like the Ukraine have a GDP per capita that is 3.5 times lower than Mexico. Go live in a number of actual first world countries you claim are big-government or socialist, then come tell me who has the better approach for the average Joe.

It's quite clear that the tea-party and libertarians what to take the country back to the 1800's or the Mr Potter days, when Americans had just enough [if that] to house and feed themselves. Countries like those already exist, they are know as the third world.

Actually excluding the rust-belt, which suffered a catastrophic failure for various reasons, the crapiest cities are all in red states. If you can even call them cities anymore, considering many now have populations less than 500K. Take out the few Texan and NC cities, which are okay by US standards and the rest are dilapidated shitholes.

Come on bud, I have posted numerous photos of Vancouver, Sydney and Melbourne before. Does any city in a red state come even close to them three? Ranked the top ten in the entire world, by three separate rankings and studies. To be honest, I couldn't pay people from the first world to move to those states. I'm not trying to be offensive here either, however that is the reality and result of your cherished approach to government; which speaks for itself. Hence, why no other first world country uses this irrational approach to anything.

The poorest states in the union are generally small-government / low tax red states. Some nice folks do reside in these states, unfortunately they have been fooled [conned] by the we support guns and we hate gays rhetoric. That is how they have managed to make the guy I saw driving a $200 van think Repubs care about him or that repubs are looking out for his interests and the answer to his plight.

It’s the same as Rush claiming the Dems are killing the middle class while Repubs are not. #######? Repubs in leadership couldn't care if that guy drove straight off a cliff, let alone want to see this red, white and blue American prosper. Too bad the average Repub in these red states does not see this and assumes the Dem fighting for them to have things the rest of us in developed countries take for granted [like a decent salary, benefits and affordable health care] is the enemy

Once again though, ignorance is bliss and this is all part of the higher-up Mr Potter style Repub strategy. Keep people naive and stupid and they will not complain. The second these people actually travel and live in Canada, Australia, NZ etc - it's all over for Repubs. Hence, keep them poor and deluded so they cannot travel.

Actually you are misrepresenting what I said, I said the poorest states. I also then said the most dilapidated cities, Newark is hardly a city.

Of course demographic has a lot to do with various cities. Unless you have been in a coma, you would know I am the first to say that demographics has resulted in the death of downtown in a majority of American cities.

I've never heard more rubbish in my entire life. Talk about broadbrushed - pulled from the azz - BS. If the Dems stopped bloody focusing on rights rubbish, to the point of being obsessed, they should be able to own this fool.

For example,

• She spoke about the little guy, then goes on saying how unions are the problem. Therefore, is she suggesting the little guy can take on some walmart on their own then?
  
• Spoke about tax cuts stopping outsourcing. This expert opinion naturally coming from her experience in a one industry state.
  
• She spoke about the US going bankrupt, then contradicted herself and claimed it needs tax cuts.
  
• She said the stimulus caused the loss of 3 million jobs. #######?
  
• She claimed a $100 million dollar project only create 50 or 100 jobs, therefore, was a failure. Derrr genius, the money is also going to the cost of the project and materials, not just salaries.
  

And on top of all that...

Did I mention the Dems will lose? November 2...I can hardly wait.
