Danno if you honestly support Palin, I've lost all respect.

Palin makes Michael Moore seem like an Oxford scholar in comparison to her.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I'm listening to her right now and need a paper bag nearby. It also does reinforce my decision to leave, considering people who reside here actually support her rubbish. AKA TEAPARTY, taking America back into the stone ages..

She says the same broad-brushed baseless BS at every place she visits. Bla bla bla big government sucks, liberty, bla bla bla Reagan. All baseless BS that the stupid buy.

Edit: Is she wearing a huge flag pin? As her type tend to love that..

No I dislike stupid.

I also dislike seeing people drive a country into the ground and disingenuously claim their policies driving it into the ground are sound and not the problem. All while ignoring the rest of the world who is doing the total opposite.

Unfortunately I was not raised in a country where we cling to guns and a flag, all while the country falls to ###### around us. Let alone decry patriotism, while the S.O.L and Q.O.L of it's greatest asset [its people], falls to levels of the third world. Worst of all, by our own doing. That's neither logical, patriotic, a sign of freedom or a political movement, it's insanity Danno.

Third world countries also tend to have a great military, while their people are dirt poor. In fact, the Soviet /union which you mention so much went bankrupt because of their [baseless] fixation on their military; with building ten tanks for every tank you built. Though, I am sure you will ignore that example about the soviets; considering picking and choosing facts, as they suit the agenda, has become the norm here. For example, pick Portugal, but conveniently ignore Canada, Germany, Norway, Finland and Australia.

IN the first place, I am not sure what Trailer park you live in but you should know, most do not live in third world conditions here, in fact every place I have lived are places with people buying new cars, new clothes and new homes.

It's for this reason I can only conclude you must be drawn to the poorest of places to live and visit. :)

If you have a point to make you should focus on that and quite with the silly ####### about "everyone living in third world conditions".

Big Gov is not an on/off switch, it starts out small and reasonable and continues to grow using the prior authority to control people as justification for the next step.

It consumes both peoples income and personal freedom. Ever growing, ever consuming.... in fact it gets to the place where these effects work in tandem.

Eventually things reach the tipping point, we see this on the streets of several "First world countries" today..... not just Portugal.

She's a two bit lying hypocritical ##### that's why. She sucked as our governor and couldn't even make it at that job, she wasn't so bright when she was our mayor here, and she has lied her ####### off to graft millions off of right wing nut cases who actually buy into her bs. She has never had an individual thought cross her brain unless it was what to cook for dinner.

Her grand kids father was handed a job up on the North Slope (Prudhoe Bay) as an "apprentice electrician", yet he didn't even have two of the four major requirements....a valid drivers license, and a high school diploma and/or GED. You have to have that and your SSN and birth certificate just to even get considered. Someone blew the whistle on him a month later and he got the boot. Palin knew what the deal was and never said anything.

She tried to get her brother in law iced from the State Troopers here and she did it in an illegal way seeing how she is a vindictive #####. Palin is nothing short of the anti-Christ for right wing nut cases who don't have a clue.

I put Palin right up there with ####### like reality TV, fake wrestling, and and QVC shopping.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I never said the entire country is third world; however, there is a growing number of areas, towns, cities and now even States that now fall into this category.

This is what puzzles me is, what sort of patriots say country first and all that other eye-rolling BS, yet don't mind seeing their country polluted in the name of a profit? Seeing their fellow citizen live in squalor, as long as they do okay. Or crying foul at the suggestion of investing in their country and on its people, yet sign over blank checks to defense. If that is what it means to be an American in 2010, not interested. I prefer the first world 'rise together / together we do better' mindset; certainly over some primitive and unchristian like to-each-his own.

Don’t even mention tipping points, when you refuse to accept or care that no other first world country practices the Teaparty approach to government. You assume fiscal strategies that worked in the 80’s still work now, though every single emerging or successful country in 2010 has or is proving otherwise. For example, being last in the OECD to have adequate health care means nothing to you. Why? Because the Palins claim you have the best system in the world.

One cannot have discussions or debates with people who simply shoot from the hip and toe the partisan line like that. The reality is beyond rhetoric, I am yet to see how government is a failure. Ironically, I have seen first-hand how the lack of government, unabated and unregulated capitalism is an epic failure to a country and its citizens. Citizens who are fooled to believe that having your wealth wiped out every few years, due to the latest private sector induced scandal or recession, is a good thing.

Insightful post.

Was she not the same governor who demanded and I believe put into policy that rape victims pay for their own DNA testing? Otherwise nothing is done.

That is beyond pathetic. You are right, the ###### is the freakin Anti-Christ.

World war with whom Danno? China has enough money in cash [$2.7 trillion USD actually, plus $2 trillion held privately by Chinese] and is producing engineers and scientist by the hour. If they wanted to, they could pump all of that and their 400,000 engineers and scientist to develop weapons to make even the F22 look like #######. Heck, they could even go for the capitalistic Achilles heel and put out a reward for any engineer and scientist to defect, giving them a $10 million bonus. Are they doing any of this? Heck to the no, rather, what those with horse blinders fail to realize is that they learned from the Soviet Unions mistakes and are instead investing hundreds of billions to build China. For example, their $350 billion dollar high-speed next-gen rail network; which is just one of many projects.

Blank check defense expenditure is the right wing American's Achilles heel. So you hate [loathe] borrowing and spending, just not on the things you deem important. On areas that just so happen to be a waste of money and deliver the lowest ROI of any dollar spent. You realize what that means right? If I was to spend a dollar on welfare, infrastructure, health care, education, R&D for cures, buy everyone a house or a car etc etc etc or defense, the lowest ROI would come from the dollar spent on defense. I would actually get more back giving it away than I would spending it on defense.

It's time the Teaparty wake up and realize this isn't the 80s or the 1800s. Welcome to the 21st century!, a world vastly different to Reagan's 80s.
