A few weeks ago I started working on a spreadsheet for NVC processing times for IR-1/CR-1 visas. I thought it would be beneficial for everyone to see past trends and current times for NVC.

I'm going through old threads on NVC filing for each specific month. I'm also keeping a watch on the current month's thread (October). This spreadsheet is by no means completely filled out as it will take me some time to go through all the threads, but I think so far it gives a good overview.

I've gotten the data from individual's timelines, their signatures, and/or comments in forums.

Please help me out in three ways:

-if you notice information is missing or wrong, please pm and I will correct it immediately

-if you're not on the timeline, please pm all the pertinent dates and I will add you immediately

-if you have any suggestions/comments, please pm or leave a message here

My NVC Case# generation is on 10/08/2010. People take NVC receipt date as this date, though the I-130 file must have been reached even before that.

10/11/2011 - Sent to Chicago Lockbox

10/13/2011 - Delivered at Chicago Lockbox

10/17/2011 - Email received with Receipt#, Routed to CSC

10/18/2011 - Cleared the checks $420*2

10/21/2011 - Received NOA1

03/30/2012 - Received NOA2

NVC

04/19/2012 - NVC received

05/01/2012 - Case# generated

05/02/2012 - DS-3032 COA emailed

05/02/2012 - I-864 AOS Fee $88 paid

05/05/2012 - I-864 AOS package mailed to NVC

05/07/2012 - I-864 AOS package received by NVC

05/07/2012 - DS-3032 COA accepted

05/08/2012 - DS-230 IV Fee $230*2 paid

05/09/2012 - DS-230 IV package mailed to NVC

05/11/2012 - DS-230 IV package received by NVC

05/17/2012 - Case Completed

Consulate

07/02/2012 - VFS visit in Cochin

07/04/2012 - Medical in Chennai

07/12/2012 - Interview in Mumbai - Success!

09/08/2012 - POE at JFK, NY

What a treat to see the names of all of the filers that went through with me. :)

The memories are starting to fade but I believe there were a few other filers (can't remember their names though) that beat my 19 day record! That was back in the day when NVC was really moving!

Thanks for the update pony. The spreadsheet has your case complete now :) I always feel great moving people from the 'no case completes yet' to the '2010 case completes' :D

It is Friday again and still no word from NVC! I wish they worked on the weekends too so we can get our love ones over here with us in the states! grrrrr

Nice work Saylin. I would have been done with this process if my husband hadn't lost his passport. It took forever for him to get it back :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: Oh well we are at the interview point now so all is forgiven. He will safeguard his passport.

NVC:

02-25-2010 : Received NVC case number, but NVC is closed, so I can't give an operator our emails. :-(

02-27-2010 : Jumped the gun and emailed the VJ version of the DS 3032. Who knows what will happen :-)

03-01-2010 : Gave the operator both emails...waiting on DS3032 kit

03-02-2010 : Received DS3032 Kit; Resent DS3032 (just in case), Received AOS bill.

03-03-2010 : Paid AOS and IV bills; both are IN PROCESS

03-03-2010 : VJ email version of the DS3032 accepted (It was the one that was sent on 02-27-2010)

03-11-2010 : Both AOS + IV showed paid but processed on 03-05-2010 :-)

03-12-2010 : Mailed AOS packet. Waiting on my procrastinating hubby to send me his IV docs :-(

03-15-2010 : AOS signed for by St. Laurent at 10:03 a.m.

07-19-2010 : Received IV documents from hubby (Finally)

07-20-2010 : Mailed IV packet

07-21-2010 : IV Packet signed for by Peters at 10:15 a.m. (St. Laurent and Desmond are probably on vacation lol)

07-26-2010 : NVC starts processing IV Packet

08-20-2010 : Called NVC and was told that we received a "stupid" RFE on 08-18-2010

09-03-2010 : RFE sent to the NVC today....SIF please come quickly.

09-07-2010 : RFE signed for by Desmond at 10:16 a.m.

09-10-2010 : NVC acknowledges receipt of the RFE

09-30-2010 : SIF

10-01-2010 : Case complete as per NVC AVR

10-05-2010 : Interview date assigned for November 29, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. Approved

This is great. thanks for continuing to update this! We were just wondering how long it should take...

If all paper work is in a good shape then NVC review and approve them in 5 to 8 business days from the date they receive in mail. This is based on my recent experience in last month.
