That would work for those supporting it...until they jokingly say they could just kill someone and get arrested for death threats.

Wasn't it discovered after they revealed that calls from the US to overseas calls were being tapped that internal calls were being tapped also?

I personally think it's out of control, there must be some checks and balances and surely it can't be that difficult for the president to request an immediate judgement on specific groups or people he feels need monitored. I'm sure if it was a matter of national security he could have that warrant in his hands in minutes ....if there were actual grounds for it.

There's something very wrong with the assumption that if you don't want the government spying on you, that it follows that you must have something to hide. That idea is the complete opposite of a democratic society - but it is true the plutocratic oligarchy that we've been moving towards for some years.

As I said, I'll take my chances. Fear should never dictate policy.
