Hi

My stepdaughter is a UK citizen and has her 10 year Permanent Resident card.

She is going to the UK for Christmas and returning to the US in January. Her UK passport expires in June.

Does she need to have at least 6 months on her UK passport to return to the US? I assume not since she's a PR and not a visitor, but I cannot find anything definitive on it on the net.

Many thanks for any help.

she does not neeed to have a passport that has an exp. date least 6 months from date of travel. She will be fine.. thats not basis to deny entry.

Also just to share... if a person was a visitor and have a passport that would expire in June 2011 and they travelled to the USA in December ... the CBP Officer doesnt have to give the nonimmigration the six month stay.. that's the maximum allowed stay and is at the descretion of the officer ... so he/she could grant a 4 or 5 month stay.
