ok this is none sense,i did what ken and babydoll did, messing with numbers, and two people after me have been approved, both for K-1,and the third one after us was suspended ( whatever that means in visa terms ) again in k-1,after that they are all on initial review.ftw

WHY NOT US?

well we know that first come is not always first served at USCIS but more approvals mean that they are finally back to K-1s! we will get our NOA2s soon! :)

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

I wish we could all hang out and get drunk while we wait.

In the meantime, my fiance and I met following this band. This song seems very appropriate and always makes me feel better.

It would actually be cool to go to a bar with some fellow petitioners and complain about the process to some pints or margaritas... From my home, I say "cheers" to whoever wishes to join me. Let's hope that soon enough we can cheer in celebration of some approvals!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

It's great! Me and another VJer have become good "IRL" friends and it's awesome being able to talk CSC smack with someone who gets it. Too bad more of us don't live near each other.

CSC is also human , yea therefore they are waking up , THEY CAN WAKE UP AND SLEEP ! AND THEREFORE THEY ALSO HAVE HEART AND MIND , I HOPE SOMETIME THEY WOULD TRY TO THINK HOW MUCH HURT WE ARE WHEN WE ARE APART FROM THE ONE WE LOVE .. IT HURTS ME WHEN ONE TIME SOMEONE APPROACH ME , TOLD ME THEY GOT THEIR NOA2 FOR ONLY 39 DAYS , BUT WHY OURS ARE TAKING SO LONG .. IF ONLY IT BEEN APPROVED A LIL EARLY I MIGHT BE ABLE TO JUST EVEN SEE MY FIANCE'S DAD BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY .. SO SAD.. SO SAD TO BE AWAY FROM MY FIANCE , I CANT JUST EVEN HUG HIM AND COMFORT HIM SPECIALLY RIGHT NOW , AND PREPARE HIS THINGS , I KNOW HE NEED ME SOMEONE WHO WILL COMFORT HIM RIGHT NOW AND TAKES CARE OF HIS NEEDS NOW THAT HE'S IN GRIEVING PROCESS .. I WISH I AM THERE.. SO SAD ..

BUT I KNOW I COULDN'T BLAME IT ALL TO THE CSC , WHAT I AM JUST SAYING IS THAT I HOPE EVEN JUST FOR A LIL , THEY WOULD STILL PRIORITIZE OUR K1 AND CR1 VISA .. SO WHAT WE ARE JUST DOING NOW IS THE USUAL , TALKING TO HIM EVERYDAY TO MAKE HIM FEEL MY COMFORT AND SO HE CAN HAVE SOMEONE HE CAN GET STRENGTH FROM ..

I am so sorry to hear about your fiance's loss. I know how you feel. I have to have surgery in December and my fiance wants to be here BUT we can't properly plan because of this process. I know there is a potential for a five month wait but there is no real way of figuring out what the CSC is doing because they are NOT consistent. I am tired of hearing about their cycles blah, blah, blah. IF they would just process everyone in a consistent manner we all wouldn't be sitting here complaining. I will be so glad when this journey is over and we can move on with our lives.

I'm also sorry for both of you. I know how it feels. My own fiance was into a lot of stress lately, with his Dad being sick for months before he finally died last July 28. His Mom also had cancer for almost two years now (I think), and it's the type that just keeps on coming back and couldn't be operated on too many times. He also started and ended 4 jobs just this year. Two of them were promotions (because he was just so good and service oriented) that he didn't want, although they finally realized that he was serious about wanting to be in a hands-on job taking care of patients instead of an administrative job. (For heaven's sake, if he wanted that, he shouldn't have quit his high-paying job as an HR manager and went into nursing, even going back to waiting/serving tables while he was back in school.)

After all the stress with the mistakes at the USCIS that caused the delays with our NOA1 plus the several calls to the call center that couldn't really tell us much, and with the stress of his work and family life, we finally found a way to speed up our process. We applied to be expedited, mostly based on the fact that his Mom is also dying soon, and would very much like to see us both settled and happy, and also to get to know me more & in person before she passes away. There were other reasons, just like I told you about, but he focused on just that one (and I worried that it might not be enough), but it seems to have worked. We got an update at the USCIS website this Friday, and I think it means that they already sent our NOA2 and our papers are already on the way to the NVC.

From what I see, both of you girls could also qualify for an expedite. Most reasons are military though, although ours was under the "humanitarian" reasons. If the surgery is major, it might just be reason enough. The humanitarian reason is quite difficult to prove though, so you've got to provide them with enough reason and enough evidence... and don't lie, because they do investigate, and some others have been delayed instead of expedited because of the longer process of investigation.

Good luck to you both! (and to everyone else here)... I also hope that we get our hardcopy of our NOA2 before David leaves for the Philippines this Thursday.

good analysis technique!! I did research and discovered there are large batches of I129f's which got NOA1s on May 27, June 17, June 25, and July 13.

Many of the May 27 and June 17 have decisions(NOA2s) several of which are dated in early October, although there are many that are still pending. At least they are working on them. June 25 and July 13 should be next.

thanks for the info, im gonna have to sit down and go through more of the numbers to find more I 129 f batches.

another gem is that you can add those case numbers to your profile and get text updates on them as well as yours :)

so when you find a batch from a certain date, add a few from that batch and when they start getting approved you know whats next :)
