Hello everyone,

Well in 2 days,it would've been 3 weeks AFTER our 5 months have passed! we had called and inquired and they said to call in 30 days and we should hear something,we know that is the general message! so we called again 2 days ago and Ruth( an employee in CSC) said that we should call again in 30 to 45 days cause they have a backlog now....

We are intending to contact a senator, and a congressperson! Regarding them,we don't know what to write to them? We know we should write our full names, and reciept number, but do we say we need them to send an inquiry regarding our case? and that we passed the 5 months processing time by almost 3 weeks?! do we need to say anything else?

And regarding what congressperson to contact,do we only have to contact the one in the district,or anyone in the same state would be fine?

Thank you all and goodluck with your journies :)

I sent a letter to my local representative and she forwarded it to one of the state senator's office here in Ohio. I don't know if it helped or not, but a couple days later, my approval with the immigration office came through. I just included all the info I could. Our receipt number, my full name, my husbands full name, our addresses and phone numbers and a brief explanation of why I was contacting them for help. I hope this helps you? :)
