Hello,

I just wanted to share my experience with you guys who filed I-130 for unmarried child. We filed in May 13, according to the USCIS website the process can take 5 months. SO 5 months have passed and still nothing.

Do you think we should call USCIS? When we moved we changed the address online and they have been so efficient updating the address and sending us the mail to a new address, but after that we did not hear anything?

What about other May filers?

Why not go to uscis.gov then check my case status - below you will see processing times - enter I-130, pick which category you are in (USC filing for unmarried child or LPR filing), pick your service center and then see what it gives you.

I called USCIS today too. It was long automated system talking. When I entered the case number the system told me to wait 30 days if the petition is still outside the processing time.

I didn't hear the option to talk to the customer service agent...Can you tell me how you managed to do that?

Let's hope we will hear within 30 days.
