I went with the CR-1 Visa and submitted all the paperwork for that visa in Dec. Thanks for the help but the only thing to get ready for is the interview now. There was a trick to getting the K-3 visa but that visa is dead and a wast of time now.

ah - ok - so basically -

this is 'the tale' of you trying to kick the K-3 visa in play at NVC (and it's in the proper forum, as well).
