To avoid GOP romp, Democrats must get out black vote

And you've missed the point once again.

Maybe, but I don't think so. My point is that being black (or hispanic) does not make one vote in a specific way. It is not that characteristic that determines how one votes, that aspect is irrelevant and I personally think it is unhelpful to use these particular labels as it leads to some very stupid negative associations.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

This gentleman won his parties primary because.. well because he had a Black sounding name.

No one knew who he was in fact he never held even one campaign event.

He lives in his parents home and is unemployed, but he did have the name Alvin Green which garnered him 61% of the democratic vote in SC.

This had nothing to do with politics as it was a primary.

I thought he was a Republican plant.

Yeah, that was the hope of Clyburn and some others but when the dug into it, he actually did have the Ten Grand to put up to file to run.

Even had he been a plant the point remains, he never ran one advertisement, held one campaign event but by 61% the Democrats pulled the lever for GReen.

Democratic Party: Destroying 'African-American' families and being proud of it for decades.

Nobody planning on voting Republican at this house in November.

Absolutely. Everyone is supposed to have the freedom to choose the political path that suits them - that's the American way. I support the drive to get more people to vote and to participate; I support the Tea Party folks participation even if I do think a lot of them are nutters ;)

Not necessarily no and that isn't what I posted.

People choosing the path that "suits them" is why we are in the mess we are today. People should vote what is best for their area...when their area thrives the people thrive. On the same note the "people" should only be electing their U.S. Representatives, not US Senators. According to the original framework of the US Constitution Reps are to represent the peoples' interests and senators are to represent the states' interests.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

On November 2nd, avoid Meg Whitman, and vote for Jerry Brown. Repubican or Democrat, Jerry Brown is the better choice.

I' don't know....

Seems to me the very last person you would vote for is someone who has already been to bat for California in the past

and if you look at the condition the State is in (in part due to him) ...why would you vote for more of the same when Cal. is teetering on the brink?

Well, he did call out the California National Guard to protect Linda Ronstadt's house from mudslides. He was quite the world traveler, taking off on taxpayer paid junkets when he was supposed to be working on California's problems, and Clown about town, closing every bar in town, when he was in town.
