Hello everyone,

I'm new here but me and my husband are in the final steps of a marriage visa. He went for his interview on 10/12 just a few days ago. They asked for more photos which he took up the next day and they told him they would call him with their answer. The problem is that we have been living away from each other for about a year and a half, we both work a lot and so really only talk a couple times a week. The only evidence for our relationship that he took to the interview was 25 photos, a few emails, and a receipt for a planned trip for our second anniversary.

My question is does anyone have experience with the Riyadh consulate? I have read other entries that state that they keep your passport but with my husband they did not, is this a sign of a problem? How long should it take now for them to give an answer?

Thank you all for your help. :)

hi dear.. first of all there is no such thing such as a sign or whatever its either ur gonna get it or they will put u under AP. Yes they do take your passport from you then they ask u to pay the fee by fedex. the duration various could be anywhere from 2-4 weeks. so stay cool things will fall into place soon inshallah.

Hello

Certainly it's a good sign that they took his passport but obviously the case now is under AP (Administration Processing) cause it's taking more than two weeks

So if whatever they're checking during that time went ok, he will be issued a visa

Good Luck

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.
