CSC Just Reported Processing Times for October

it shows how sadistic CSC is,its like in order to keep their timeline set for the five months, they start processing cases a couple of days before the hit five months.

while it does get the job done, its rather ... i dk,fill in the blank.

unfair?

I don't know why one would think it's unfair. They have an estimate of up to 5 months. Whether they do it on day one or the day before the 5 months are up, their projection is still accurate.

I think that as LONG as they are within the 5 month processing times... we outta just hang up and let THEM do their thing. Now should the processing be outside the 5 months quoted then concerns should be brought up.

I guess it could be worse... I have a friend who went through this same process from 2008-2009 and she had to wait 1 1/2 years to get her actual visa in hand. She said they received a letter from their USCIS office that there would be delays due to cutbacks/layoffs in 2008. So we're amongst the lucky bunch as long as the economy stays put or progresses. She also noted that the K1 approval had the longest wait time of the whole visa process.... That is very promising although, each case is different.

it is accurate but is it correct to keep a petitioner with a record clear as snow waiting for five months for whatever reason they are ?

lets face it CSC and immigration system over all as far as service centers goes are far from ideal, who enjoys waiting?

Im no chearleader, but if you look at the official numbers that they put out on the USCIS Website downturns on one type of application sometimes coincide with upticks in others.

CSC is kinda a sucky place i think because they get more applications and process a wider range of apps, maybe their are more immigrants on the west coast than the east coast?

There isn't a separate box for "clear as snow" petitions. USCIS is receiving close to 500,000 petitions a month so which one of the "clear as snow" petitioners gets to go first? If you want to find a more accurate target for your frustration, it would be all of the rest of us petitioning for visa benefits. Personally, I think a 5 month wait when there are 1.5 million pending petitions is acceptable. Good luck with your NOA2. Maybe it will be in one of the more productive adjudicator's queue.

see as of now, there are 3 theories usually thrown around in explanation of CSC going slow

1.the end of fiscal year 2. adjudicators are more focused on cr-1s,and 3.the elections, either way,the lack of communication is obvious,im not upset with having to wait five months,im upset with not seeing any sort of movement, not just on VJ ( because of course VJ as effective as it is,is a small community ) but over all, with the processing report.also the lack of communication is what makes it even worse.i feel useless and my USC petitioner feels the same, because every time we contact USCIS,we get told the same thing because we havent reached the five months peak.

i do believe we will get our second notice of action right before the five months mark, however,im not happy with the way things are,and i am entitled to my opinion

Good stuff 1+

Kinda old stuff but ive long said that 5 months =acceptable. Most applications are approved within 5 months. Those that must wait Will wait no lawyer etc cant speed things up.

Fix? Find a mate inland.

With all due respect, the "it used to take longer" argument, at least to me, is completely pointless. A long time ago, it used to take months to travel to Europe, but that doesn't mean I will take airport delays as "acceptable".

so true.

plus,no one is trying to make CSC employees job look easy, but this is what they were trained and hired to do,and they do what they are told to do,so,im sorry,we paid for service,we expect service.volume is not an excuse.

You paid for a service that is clearly stated to take 5 months. Is this what you expect?

what we were told was that it CAN take up to five months, not that it necessarily is a five months process.

when you contact CSC for past five months notice, they tell you to expect a decision in the next 60 days, doesnt that mean the amount of time needed to dig up a case say from june, study it and make a decision is 60 days?

again,i would have had no problem with waiting IF CSC operators would have been ordered to be more specific per case.do you see my point?

Clearly stated? Where? I see references to "timeframes", "averages" and "goals" in the USCIS website. That doesn't seem like a clear statement to me. At any rate, I payed for a service and I am now beyond the "clearly stated" 5 months.

Not really. There are of 1.5 million cases pending. Do you really think there are resources available to go and look at an individual case every time somebody calls and then be able to tell with any kind of accuracy how far behind the preceding petitions it is?

umm yes?

im glad youre happy with the way your process is going on,im glad the distance and uselessness of CSC doesnt bother you,but dont expect the same from every other petitioner.the CSC employees are obviously highly trained professionals,if they work the way every petitioner expects them to work it wouldnt take more than 15 mins for them to approve or deny a case,as i-129F package is a really black or white package.

PS: 1.5 million packages didnt become 1.5 million over night
