I never got approved before leaving... :crying: but i was questioned at immigration/customs all about my reason for going i said to visit husband then questioned all about my marriage just like an interview for visa then sent to immigration room where i was questioned again,,how long i know, how we meet, how long married, if we have kids, it was almost like a visa interview but im the usc..anyone else experience this and is this normal..i almost missed my flight..the first guy was a real jerk but the woman was nice and said calm down its okay nothing to worry about..to say the least my nerves are gone..and they lost my luggage and i miss my husband so much..God is really putting me on trial... :crying: :crying:

That sucks! I've read similar experiences from other USC's being questioned after returning from a trip to visit their foreign spouse. I usually mention that I went to visit my husband when asked about the purpose of my trip but have been lucky enough not to get questioned.

Try to see it in a positive way. At least now you have some experience for the interview, and perhaps the interview won't even be half as bad because you will have your husband at your side and you guys will give each other support!

what is secondary? I thought i was going to have a heart attack....

Secondary is where you got sent after the CBP officer asked you the initial couple of questions. I've been in secondary before, but it was the Canadian officers who sent me there as I was entering Canada, not the US officer as I was returning.

ETA: hello there aya2011!

That's good that you are calling your senator. I sent a few letters but was not getting any response from them. I started to call and got their attention. They did call to inquire about my case, though I am not sure if they called before my petition was approved or afterwards. I know that they called because later on they called my house to inform me that my petition was approved (about a fews days after I received my approval so I already knew) and to offer me any help with my case in the future. Someone from my congressman's office also called about a week after my approval to let me know that they called the USCIS and that my petition was approved.

My point is do call them because I think that for the most part they are willing to help. They are so busy that if you don't keep reminding them about your problem they will probably put it on the back burner.

Keep us posted as soon as you guys hear anything this upcoming week :)

The USCIS # is 1-800-375-5283. They have a menu and you have to choose from one of the options. If I remember correctly I always chose option 5 whenever I wanted to speak to a representative. Hope this helps.

Look it up on the internet; each state's senator/congressman has a different phone number.

Well another go around with the senator's assistant and I contacted my congressman(no answer yet) the senators assistant insisted we were in extended background and could take months to years..i was so upset..I called USCIS and said listen I need to know something and the lady was really nice and gave me to a tier 2 who was also really nice..the tier 2 said the senators assistant didnt know what she was talking about..we were not in any unusual background check and they don't even use the word extended for them..she said she thinks the senators assistant gave me that answer to blow me off..which was the only thing to make me laugh since thats what we say about them..she said to give them to the end of this month and then call for another service request..all i know is I have done everything possible at this point..sorry post so long and thanks for all of you guys and your support ..you are all awesome...
