Thank you for your wishes and support :) So when should we start calling NVC ? or whst is the next step?

i started calling about a week after. just kept trying the AVR first. once the AVR had my case number i called and spoke to an operator to give them both our email addresses. also ask for your Invoice Identification Number. Also once in a while try speaking to an operator even if the AVR doesn't have your case number yet. at least you'll know when your paperwork got there from CIS. after you get your case number then go ahead and email your DS 3032.

i'm hoping by today they generate the bills already so i can pay and get this train moving asap! come join us at the april NVC thread. them folks are mighty helpful over there. :thumbs:

not necessarily. just as long as you have all the info they need you should be fine. AVR is the automated voice recording you can access 24-7 when you call NVC @ 603-334-0700. you can key in your USCIS number and check if they already have your NVC case number in it. if you want to speak to an operator, you can always key in 5 and they'll direct your call. try in the evenings, it's less busy at that time. operators are there until midnight EST. :thumbs:

I just got my email too. I had a half-written rant earlier today but work intervened so I never got to finish and post it. 4 months and 28 days between electronic notifications. I hope Sally gets hers tonight still too. I'm not sure what time it is in Albania but she's only a couple of days ahead of me on the submission.

I am still going to write my senator though. This process is the suckiest thing I could imagine putting upon a newlywed couple and seriously needs to be fixed. The penalty is just too high for those of us following the legal process.

:D Checked status at work this morning and saw this:

"On April 21, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN."

I'm home at lunch now, the notification email came in at 1:45am. I'll call NVC twice a day starting Tuesday morning (Monday evening in U.S.) until I receive my NVC case number.

We're both very happy that things are finally progressing.
